Owl's Nest School Store Spotlighted on KBTX

It was an exciting moment for students involved in the Owl’s Nest Store to be interviewed and spotlighted by KBTX this week! Mrs. Beth Whittle’s idea sparked the fire, sharing her proposal of a student run school store with her business management class in August 2016.  Students have since learned the aspects of starting up a new business: setting goals, marketing techniques, financial planning and management, product design, and other real world applications. The start-up funding of the project was from an Anderson-Shiro Education Foundation grant.
