Dr. Sarah Borowicz Named as Lone Finalist for Anderson-Shiro CISD Superintendent

The Anderson-Shiro Board of Trustees is proud to name Dr. Sarah Borowicz as the Lone Finalist for the Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Borowicz has nearly two decades of experience in education ranging from six years as a classroom teacher in elementary, middle school, and high school campuses, two years as a Middle School Assistant Principal, two years as an Elementary School Principal, five years as an Intermediate School Principal, one year as a Director of School Improvement, to her current position as the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning for Elgin ISD.  


Dr. Borowicz received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University, her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington, and her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.  In her current position at Elgin ISD, Dr. Borowicz has excelled in leading district-wide systems for improving student outcomes, expanding professional learning, and supporting campus leadership.  She is committed to positive academic outcomes for all students, fostering a positive district culture, and engaging with the community.  She, along with her husband and two daughters are excited to become a part of the Fighting Owl Family and join the Anderson-Shiro Community.  


Dr. Borowicz was voted unanimously by the Board of Trustees as the Lone Finalist.  In compliance with state law, a 21-day waiting period will go into effect on 12/2/23, and the board will then offer a contract to Dr. Borowicz to serve as Superintendent of Schools for Anderson-Shiro CISD, with an anticipated start date of 12/23/23.
